Antique Etching titled Sunlight and Shadows signed by artist

etching by the American artist LeRoy Dagobert Sauer (1894-1959), titled "Sunlight and Shadows". Sauer was known for his prints and etchings, often depicting rural or architectural scenes.

Studied at the Cincinnati Academy of Art, Cleveland Art School and Western Reserve University with Henry Keller, Frank W Ernest Peirotto, Hopkins, Meakin, Wessel, George Orr and Lachman. He exhibited at the National Academy of Design, Dayton Society of Etchers, Ohio Print Makers, Florida Art Assoc.. (prize), Library of Congress (prize) and the Tri State Exhibition to name a few. Sauer was a founder and member of the D Society of Etchers. A member of the Ohio Print makers, The Florida Art association, The Indiana Society of Print Makers, The American Art Training center in Paris et.al.
He has collections in the Dayton Art Institute, Ohio Art and Artist, The Library of Congress and several recognized Galleries throughout Canada and the United States.
