About Hakucho:
Hakucho is a paulownia manufacturing and sales company that has been in business since Meiji 7 (1874).
Paulownia products are prized in humid Japan because they are lightweight, do not allow moisture to pass through, are not easily flammable, and are resistant to insects and corrosion, and are widely used.

Since the second generation of Hakucho began to arrange "Kimekomi" (cloth-inlay) crafts, we have adopted our own technique of "Paulownia Kimekomi Craft," which combines paulownia products and Kimekomi crafts.
"Paulownia Kimekomi Craft" is a craft in which cuts are made in paulownia, cloth is inserted, and patterns and designs are applied.
Hakucho offers paulownia products with Kimekomi crafts in various patterns, including the standard bell pattern.

A characteristic of Hakucho's paulownia products is the "Jidai-age" finish, which slightly burns the surface of the paulownia to create a beautiful dark brown color.
Compared to the natural wood finish, the color does not change even after many years of use, so you can use the product for a long time in the same color as when you purchased it.
