AUTHEN is a Japanese denim brand established by Takumi Maemura, a former Levi's designer. It aims to create clothing that caters to everyone, using sustainable materials and manufacturing methods. The brand's concept is "TIMELESS, WASTELESS, BORDERLESS." They utilize recycled denim and organic cotton, employ production processes that minimize water usage, and offer sustainable fashion while developing timeless items that leverage Japanese craftsmanship.

The material used is 12.5oz selvedge denim from Kaihara, a major domestic denim manufacturer. The fabric, woven slowly using the hands of skilled artisans and traditional shuttle looms, has an elegant yet warm impression. The red selvedge visible when rolled up is a nice accent, characteristic of selvedge denim.

The front features a button fly with a hidden placket. The wear and tear, along with the fading around the buttons, allows you to enjoy the unique character of denim.

The silhouette has a moderate rise and a refined straight leg. Since there is almost no tapering below the knee, it's easy to balance with shoes, and it has a relaxed fit that looks good even when worn low on the hips.
