Vintage mid-century modern sterling silver brooch featuring a sculptural butterfly amid pine branches with detailed pine cones. Heavily cast openwork design with excellent depth and organic movement. Marked “STERLING" near the clasp and fitted with a secure locking safety clasp. Unmarked as to maker, consistent with American studio silver jewelry from the 1950s–1960s. Pine cone imagery traditionally symbolizes longevity and renewal, making this a striking and meaningful statement piece.
Measures about 2 1/4 inches in diameter and weighs about 20 grams.
Very good vintage condition. Solid sterling silver with light surface wear and natural patina consistent with age. Sterling mark present near clasp. Locking safety clasp functions properly. No repairs observed. Please review photos for detail and scale.
