It can be worn inside or outside your coat. It is thick , yet light. I used a 4 weight acrylic yarn.
Hand washing and laying flat will extend the wear of the cowl.
If using a washing machine, use cold water and with-like colors.
I like to use a zippered mesh laundry bag.
