Performance and Benchmarks
The new MSI GX660R uses the same Intel Core i7-740QM processor running at 1.73GHz (2.93GHz in Turbo) we saw in the GT660R. This is indeed a very good processor, but there are faster processors available today (and there have been faster processors even before the i7-740QM was used last year). The only two major changes that might impact performance here are the use of the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5870 discrete graphics card with 1GB DDR5 memory and a pair of new hard drives.
