Swiss Music Box by Reuge, Dancing Couple in Chalet, Wood, vintage 1995, NIB Mint

Vintage unused new in box 1995 Reuge of Switzerland hand made, hand detailed, and hand painted Music Box Jewelry or knickknack holder in a model Swiss Mountain Chalet Miniature House. Wind up nob is on bottom of house, the waltzing red, white and black clothed countryside couple dance to the music in a tight circle (avoiding hitting your jewelry or stuff in the box) until the music stops. House base is 5 1/8” long, 3 3/8” wide, and 3 1/2” tall from ground to peak of painted shingle roof, with 6 glued on rocks (which would be small boulders in real life) to hold down the roof in heavy mountain gale winds. Window panes with curtains, heavy wooden front door, water pump (simulated blue water in the trough), sitting bench, and flower pot gardens on the lawn and on window eves are wonderfully detailed.
